Social Theories of Muslim Thinkers, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tehran, plans to publish one issue in English each year. The purpose of this English-language issue is to advance theoretical research on social thought in the Islamic intellectual tradition and to introduce the theoretical contributions of Muslim thinkers to the analysis of social issues to an international audience. Accordingly, faculty members, researchers, and graduate students are invited to submit original research articles for the English-language issue. Submissions should be grounded in a clearly articulated theoretical framework and offer rigorous scholarly analysis.
Articles may analyze and explain the views of Muslim thinkers across different historical periods; examine concepts and theoretical frameworks in Islamic social thought; offer critical reassessments of this intellectual heritage; or compare the thought of Muslim thinkers with classical and contemporary social theories. Priority will be given to articles that contribute to the development of social theory within the Islamic intellectual tradition or foster theoretical dialogue between that tradition and contemporary social sciences.
Providing a similarity report certificate from the English iThenticate similarity detection system is required upon submission in order to prevent plagiarism.
As an open-access journal, Social Theories of Muslim Thinkers makes its published articles immediately and freely available to its intended scholarly audience, helping maximize their accessibility and potential for citation.
