Introduction
The Journal of Social Theories of Muslim Thinkers supports the open dissemination of knowledge and facilitates the visibility of research by permitting authors to archive their work. Authors are allowed to deposit their articles in institutional or disciplinary repositories, personal websites, or social networking sites, provided that the integrity of the work and the status of the final published version are preserved.
1. Preprint Policy
Authors are permitted to post the preprint version of their manuscript (the draft prior to peer review) in institutional repositories or on personal websites. However, once the article has been formally accepted and published in the Journal, authors are obligated to update the preprint with a full bibliographic citation and a direct link to the “Version of Record” (the final published article) on the Journal’s website.
2. Postprint and Version of Record (VoR)
The Journal permits authors to deposit the “Version of Record” (the publisher’s final PDF) in institutional repositories or subject-based repositories. To ensure the continuity of the scholarly record and to maintain high visibility, authors must adhere to the following requirements:
3. Rights and Intellectual Property
The primary objective of this policy is to enhance the visibility and impact of the authors’ work. We encourage authors to utilize these archiving channels to broaden their research reach. However, using the publisher’s version without adhering to the aforementioned citation and linking requirements is considered a violation of publication policy, and the Journal reserves the right to take appropriate action to protect its intellectual property.
