Journal Article 2025 07 10 The Constitutional Revolution of Iran was not only a fundamental transformation in the contemporary political and social history of Iran but also a profound reflection of the two popular ideals of justice-seeking and legalism. Employing a qualitative thematic analysis method, this research examines the interpretation and reflection of these two concepts in the work "The History of the Iranian Awakening" by Nazem-ol-Eslam Kermani. The research data were collected and extracted through a precise and systematic reading of the aforementioned text. The findings indicate that Nazem-ol-Eslam considered justice-seeking not only as the driving force behind the Constitutional Movement and a natural reaction to Qajar oppression but also as a comprehensive social demand. In contrast, he introduced legalism as the necessary framework for the sustainable realization of justice and the establishment of a modern political system based on national sovereignty. His perspective, shaped by his intellectual background—particularly his religious beliefs and lived experience of the Constitutional events—led him to legitimize these principles not merely from a political standpoint but also within an ethical and religious framework. A comparison of Nazem-ol-Eslam's thought with that of his contemporaries reveals that, while sharing the overarching ideals, he possessed a unique approach characterized by the integration of modern rationality and an emphasis on the role of the people as agents of change. By focusing on Nazem-ol-Eslam's narrative, this study demonstrates how justice-seeking and legalism, as the central pillars of his thought, are manifested in his analysis of the Constitutional Revolution in his texts, and how these ideas hold a distinct position compared to other approaches of his era. انقلاب مشروطه ایران نه تنها تحولی بنیادین در تاریخ سیاسی و اجتماعی ایران معاصر بود، بلکه بازتابی عمیق از دو آرمان مردمیِ عدالت‌خواهی و قانون‌گرایی است. این پژوهش با به‌کارگیری روش تحلیل مضمون کیفی به بررسی نحوه تفسیر و بازتاب این دو مفهوم در اثر «تاریخ بیداری ایرانیان» ناظم‌الاسلام کرمانی می‌پردازد. داده‌های پژوهش از طریق خوانش دقیق و نظام‌مند متن مذکور گردآوری و استخراج شده‌اند. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهند که ناظم‌الاسلام عدالت‌خواهی را نه تنها به عنوان موتور محرکه نهضت مشروطه و واکنشی طبیعی به ظلم قاجاری می‌دانست، بلکه آن را مطالبه‌ای فراگیرِ اجتماعی می‌پنداشت.در مقابل قانون‌گرایی را به عنوان چارچوب ضروری برای تحقق پایدار عدالت و تأسیس نظام سیاسی مدرنِ مبتنی بر حاکمیت ملی معرفی کرده است. نگرش او تحت تأثیر پیش‌زمینه‌های فکری به‌ویژه اعتقادات دینی و تجربه زیسته از وقایع مشروطه شکل گرفته و این امر سبب شده تا او این اصول را نه صرفاً از منظر سیاسی، بلکه در چارچوبی اخلاقی و شرعی نیز مشروعیت‌بخشی کند. مقایسه اندیشه ناظم‌الاسلام با متفکران هم‌عصر خود نشان می‌دهد که او در عین اشتراک در آرمان‌های کلی رویکردی منحصربه‌فرد داشت که در آن تلفیق عقلانیت مدرن و تأکید بر نقش مردم به‌عنوان عامل تغییر برجسته است. این پژوهش با تمرکز بر روایت ناظم‌الاسلام نشان می‌دهد که چگونه عدالت‌خواهی و قانون‌گرایی به عنوان ستون‌های اصلی اندیشه او در تحلیل انقلاب مشروطه در متونش تجلی یافته‌اند و چگونه این اندیشه‌ها در مقایسه با دیگر رویکردهای عصر خود جایگاهی متمایز دارند. https://jstmt.ut.ac.ir/article_106193_73d8f99b6d5e3a63a34e2c301209a6c9.pdf
